Big tables, Cakes, and speeches

My earlier flip remark about nothing much happening was a bit inaccurate. Quite a lot happened, including some notable birthdays: specifically the joint 90th birthday of my lovely parents, Joyce and Harry together with the 5th birthday of my great-nephew, Ben (all on the same date amazingly), and Georgina’s *0th. In between those two events  Marisa very kindly invited a group of us to the beautiful mansion and grounds of Longstock.

Oddly, all of these lovely days involved big tables, birthday cakes, and a few speeches.   So that’s the theme of this set of photos.
